I recently had the pleasure of attending the Vendor Takeover with our vendor table for 719 Mag in Colorado Springs, and I must say that my overall impression was quite positive. This event showcased an impressive lineup of over 50 vendors, each offering something unique and creative. From insurance providers to AI consultants, as well as a variety of small family-owned businesses, it was a delightful mix that catered to a wide range of interests and needs.
One of the standout features of the Vendor Takeover was the accessibility—there was no fee to enter, which made it easy for anyone to come and explore. This openness likely contributed to a diverse crowd, creating a dynamic atmosphere where networking flourished! As I walked through the space, I noticed that many attendees were engaging in meaningful conversations, exchanging ideas, and sharing experiences. It was heartening to see so many local entrepreneurs connecting and supporting one another!
The vendors themselves were of course the highlight of the event. Many were passionate about their products and services, eager to share their stories and the inspiration behind their businesses. I particularly enjoyed discovering a few small family-owned enterprises that had unique offerings. Their commitment to quality and community was evident, and it felt great to support local talent.
The relaxed atmosphere allowed for a comfortable browsing experience, making it easy to take my time and explore each vendor’s booth. Many vendors had interactive displays or samples, which encouraged participation and made the experience more engaging. I left with a handful of interesting products and valuable contacts that I look forward to following up with.
Some of my personal stand out booths were:
Panther’s Gate Lil Witch
Veteran’s Touch Woodworking
Cressio
Mentally Ill Custom Printing
Understandably being one of the first events of its kind, involving multiple industries of vendors there were a few things that naturally would leave room for improvement in regards to sound and lighting. However, some of these challenges were far from a factor to this event’s success and the turnout was fantastic and very engaging. Speaking of engagement, this was 719 Magazine’s first official vendor booth ever and It’s with great honor to announce that out of 50 vendors our vendor booth won the first ever award for the “Most Engaged Booth”!! which truly caught us by surprise with our humble beginnings, as a team and digital publication. I also believe this was our magazine’s first award presented ever which we were ecstatic to recieve and we couldnt thank those who recognized us and The Vendor Takeover team, enough.
Also big congrats to Cressio vendor booth who won “Most Professional Booth” and also D’or Studio by Bianca who won “Most Creative Booth”!! Our award granted also granted us a free vendor booth at the next The Vendor Takeover which will be for 3 days thru Nov 22nd until Nov 24th
(stay tuned for that recap as well)
In summary, the Vendor Takeover in Colorado Springs, Colorado is a fantastic opportunity to discover unique products and services while supporting local businesses. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to expand their network, explore creative offerings, or simply enjoy a day of community engagement. We look forward to attending the next Takeover in November and will for sure see you all there!
